Officials informed on Thursday evening that four people were in serious condition after lightning struck a park in Washington DC, the capital of the United States.
According to DC Fire Control and Emergency Services, four people were treated in Lafayette Park (Park) located in front of the White House in DC.
Two men and two women have been taken to regional hospitals after being struck by live lightning. According to the DC Fire Department, they sustained serious injuries.
In front of the White House, uniformed police officers and members of the Secret Service were also on the scene and immediately assisted the victims.
