According to the Dallas Police Department, someone reported the shooting just before 3 a.m. from a guest house called Eri Motel.

According to police officials at the scene, two people were injured in the shooting, NBCWF said. A 53-year-old man was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Another victim, a 37-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition, according to the police department. No arrests have been made so far, the department said.

Police said they were monitoring the guest house in an attempt to identify the suspects in the shooting.
