“A Russian plane dropped a bomb on an art school in Mariupol, which was surrounded by Russian troops. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a crowd of mourners.
“There was no military situation,” he said. There were about four hundred citizens. Most women and children, the elderly. They are under the rubble. We don’t know how many are still alive. ”
According to a report published by Human Rights Watch on Monday, the continuous shelling in Mariupol has caused problems in delivering essential items including food, water and medicine, according to ABC News.
In a statement, Belkis Wiley, senior crisis and conflict investigator at Human Rights Watch, described the residents of Mariupol as “like a cold hell filled with dead bodies and collapsed buildings.”
He added: “These are the lucky ones who managed to escape the city besieged by the Russian army.”
